MEN'S MINISTRY
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)

The purpose of the Men's Ministry at TRBC is to strengthen the church by helping men to develop a vital love relationship with God and other men, and to encourage men to become more active in Christian service.
The TRBC  Men's ministry is open to men of all ages and in all stations of life.  Men are welcomed to and encouraged to include their sons in many events.  We recognize that God has ordained men as the spiritual heads of their households, and we seek to help men understand, prepare for and execute that role.  We recognize that we are accountable not only to God, but to our wives and to each other in our efforts to meet this responsibility.  The goal of the TRBC Men's Ministry is to assist men in becoming Godly men, husbands, fathers, sons, employees, leaders, and friends -- Men of Integrity.

Special Meetings
The Men's Ministry sponsors special events throughout the year.  These events are designed to bring men together for fellowship and spiritual growth.  Past events have included a men's breakfast, a fishing tournament, a golf tournament, and meetings with special speakers.  Recently, the TRBC Men's Ministry brought in author and speaker Dr. Ken Canfield, President of the National Center for Fathering, to Tallahassee for a free weekend conference to assist men in becoming better fathers (The 7 Secrets of Effective Fathers Seminar).  TRBC also hosted Men to Men to the Point, featuring Steve Farrar, Stu Weber and Gary Rosberg.

Promise Keepers Stadium Events
In addition to the P.K. small groups, the Men's Ministry organizes trips to the P.K. conferences in our area.  In the past, our men have attended conferences in Atlanta, Georgia; Columbia, South Carolina; Jacksonville, Florida; Tampa, Florida; St. Petersburg, Florida; and the Stand In The Gap event in Washington, D.C.

Mission Activities
The Men's Ministry provides mission support, both within the Thomasville Road Baptist Church family and the local community.  These activities are generally construction or remodeling type projects.  For example, the men in the church have helped install several air conditioning units in other churches and have replaced several roofs for members of the community.
