Education:  Doctor of Worship Studies, Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies; Master of Church Music, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; Bachelor of Arts in Music, University of Mobile.

Vitals: Born September 18, 1952, Mobile Alabama.  Grew up on Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay.  Married to Diane Griffin of Jackson, Alabama.  Two adult sons, Drew and Jared; and one grandson, Hayden.

What do you love most about working for TRBC?
The people!  TRBC has awesome people who constantly demonstrate care for each other, and a vision for reaching the world for Christ.  Great staff to work alongside, and fabulous people in worship ministry.

Who is the most influential person in your life?
Can’t mention one without the other—my mom and dad.

Inspiration:
People persistently achieving impossible, selfless goals, under extremely difficult circumstances calling for personal sacrifice.

Hidden Talents:
I can place a tall stack of quarters on my bent elbow, bring my arm down quickly, and catch all the coins in the hand of the same arm in mid air.  I can also sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”, placing the words one syllable ahead of where they are supposed to be.

Hobbies:

Sailing—not a hobby, a passion; woodwork; participating in triathlons.

Life Long Goal:
To become more like Jesus. 

A lesser goal: to read the entire library of writings by C.S. Lewis.

Little Known Fact About Me:

I once served as a volunteer fireman.

Book (other than the Bible): (lately) With One Voice, by Reggie Kidd.

Movie: What About Bob?

Restaurant: Seinyard, Woodville

Ice Cream: Pralines and Cream (not a big ice cream eater—but turn me loose on a homemade cheesecake!)

Fishing with my Dad, HUGE extended family gatherings in Alabama.
