What do you love most about working for TRBC? People, both staff and members, I not only love them because they are all in God’s family, but I truly like these people, and like being around them
Who is the most influential person in your life? My grandmother would be the person who has influenced my life more than anyone else. Although she often talked to me about God, Christianity, and living out my faith, she showed me in everything she did. She personified a person who had died to Christ. She was the same everywhere and everywhere she spoke of Jesus and tried her best to live as He did.
What inspires you? Commitment, loyalty, hard work and overcoming life’s obstacles and pretty much any pork product (ie. bacon, pulled pork, pork tenderloin, sausage, ham, pork chops and et al, and the always delicious SPAM!)
Hidden Talents: I have always made the time limit on a timed word search. Generally I can just glance at the letters and see the words jump out.
Hobbies: Reading, Sports, Cooking, Biking (this one is new to me) and
hanging with my daughters.
Life Long Goal: I know it sounds really cliché, and all Sunday Schoolish, but I want to die, go to heaven and have Jesus say, “well done, my good and faithful servant.” I would also like to have one official MLB at bat for the Baltimore Orioles.
Little Known Fact About Me: My original occupational plan was to be a cultural advisor for the CIA, which when you think about it is very similar to missions, research a culture, find ways to break into and fit in to that culture.
Favorites:
Book (other than the Bible): Lonesome Dove, Larry McMurtry and Three Musketeers, Alexander Dumas
Movie: Braveheart and Sound of Music, yes I know they make an odd pair, bloody Scotsmen and Austrian singing nuns.
Restaurant: Here in Tallahassee I would have to go with Kool Beans and Masa, unless I want cheap Mexican, then it is always Morellia’s
Ice Cream: Not a big fan of traditional ice cream, however I love Passion Fruit and Tamarind Sherbet
Childhood Memory: Sounds trivial and very small, but playing Frisbee with my Dad.
Favorite Food: I think I already mentioned I like Pork. Close second would be Spaghetti.
