Sunday School
The entire TRBC church family is
organized around some 75 groups which function as "greenhouses" for fellowship,
outreach and spiritual growth. This
is the church organized, mobilized and cared for. Among adults, these
groups are more than classes, they are spiritual families committed 24-7 to
one other. Each one functions as a microcosm of the church. Like
cells, they possess all the elements for growing mature believers. From
each Sunday School class can come spiritual growth, new believers, caring
ministry, new leadership and the birth of new groups. Each is designed
with a Leadership Team to nurture and guide its members.
Reasons to Join . . .
1. Because every person needs a small
group of true friends.
2. Because God came up with the idea
in His Word.
3. Because believers who know you can
help you succeed spiritually.
4. Because we need small groups to
dig into and discuss God's Word.
5. Because this "family" will be a
"forever family!"
It's Biblical . . .
| Acts 2:42-47 |
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching
and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were
done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had
everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they
gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet
together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and
ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the
favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily
those who were being saved." |
| Hebrews 10:24-25 |
"And let us consider how we may spur one another
on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting
together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one
another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching." |
| Matthew 24:35 |
"For I was hungry and you fed me. I was
thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you
invited me into your home." |

From those whose lives have been
touched through TRBC Classes . . .
"When I first came to TRBC, I
was doing great in the world's eyes, but I was a mess inside. The women in
the ladies SS class just loved me through all my ignorance and didn't condemn
me. Through their love and the witness of how they lived (I watch!) I
learned. Thank God for those ladies! If they had given me one
hurtful word during that time when I was a brand new Christian, I would have run
and turned my back on church altogether."
"After visiting a few other
churches, I simply did not find a more inviting church with Bible study and
activities for every age group. Bible Study and worship have served as a
source of stability during times of doubt and insecurity."
"It is exciting to see
children and teens you have taught in SS coming to Christ, be baptized, and
serving God in so many areas."
"It has helped me understand that God loves
all people, not just me and those like me. . . .The church family is an
integral part of my life in all areas and I could not imagine being without my
church family."
"It has provided a closer walk with the Lord,
and an avenue to deepen my spiritual walk and use my spiritual gifts."
"I have one of the greatest teachers.
She is very dedicated to her job and children in her class. We learn
something new each week. Or a new way to look at the scriptures."
"My Sunday School class gives me a place to
belong; a much deeper relationship with a smaller portion of my church family.
I consider my Sunday School class one of my greatest blessings. From
day one, when I walked into that room, unknown by everybody, they ALL accepted
and welcomed me. Not once did I feel out of place. Now that I know
everybody in my class better, I feel even more like their family. These
friends are the ones I would go to with my deepest pain, most trying temptation,
greatest weakness, and most paralyzing fear and know that my trials are their
trials. I never have to face anything alone. I now have wonderful
people to face it with me."
