Regular attendance of weekly lessons is necessary in order to achieve adequate progress. It is also important to be prompt. If you are unable to attend a lesson, we request that you notifty our office or your teacher as soon as possible.
By completing your registration form and submitting your registration fee, you are making a commitment for the entire semester. Therefore, we request that all students remain enrolled through the semester's end. We realize that sometimes schedules can change and other activities can interfere with lessons, but we are willing to work with you in order to keep your lessons going. Please understand that your tuition pays your teacher's salary. They are depending on the salary for the "entire" semester. In the event a situation arises and you must discontinue lessons prior to the end of the semester, please submit your withdrawal in writing to the Academy office. You will be responsible for payment of a $40.00 withdrawal fee. There is no tuition refund or discount on the withdrawal fee for lessons missed or make-ups not completed prior to your withdrawal.
Make-up lessons will be offered in cases of illness, emergency situations, or teacher absence. Any other reason must be discussed with the teacher and the student in advance. If you miss a lesson and do not notify the Academy office and/or the teacher in advance, you will not receive a make-up lesson. Two general make-up days are scheduled each semester. These make-up days are for students who have given advance notice and valid reasons for up to two absences. Make-up lessons may also be scheduled at any time agreed upon by both the teacher and the student. Lessons missed due to holidays will be made up on Friday during the same week of the holiday. The Academy will be closed the weeks of Thanksgiving and Spring Break. These two weeks are not included in the total number of lessons for the semester, therefore no make-up lesson is necessary.
A $10.00 late fee will be added for payments that are more than a week late.
If tuition is more than a month behind, we will work with you on an alternate payment plan.
New students may register for private lessons at any time during the year, as long as space is available. To register, students must complete a registration form and schedule a lesson time with the Academy office. In addition, there is an annual, non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 per person, with a maximum of $50.00 per family due at time of registration. This helps cover our operating expenses. Please submit your registration fee along with your registration form. Make checks payable to T.R.A.A. For more information on registering, please call the Academy office at (850) 422-7795 ext. 110 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
