Connect Women

"Diamonds in the Rough" - April 4th, 2017

TRBC's own Kay Myers will share from her heart about shining bright like diamonds for Christ!

Kay Myers, a member of TRBC and our Connect Women leadership team, grew up outside Bainbridge, GA but moved to Tallahassee after High School. She met Doc here, her wonderful husband of 23 years. They live happily with their beloved labradoodle, Zeke, and boldly proclaim Christ as head of their home, sovereign over their marriage and their lives.

Mark your calendars now for one of our most popular women’s events! Come experience the faith, fellowship, fun, friends, great food, & even door prizes! We meet the first Tuesday evening of most months from 6:30 to 8:30 in the TRBC Fellowship Hall, & the cost for dinner is only $5. It’s a vibrant event where women can recharge, connect, & form lasting, supportive friendships, while drawing near to Christ!

Please R.S.V.P. in one of the following ways:

  • Contact Susan Head, by the Sunday prior to the event at susanhead336@yahoo.com or 850-599-5960.

Mom’s Morning Out

Mom’s Morning Out is a community co-op program designed to give moms a morning a week without kiddos. The children participate in an age appropriate Bible story, outside play, relevant craft time and snack. (Please send a snack that your child can eat by themselves and we will sit them down to eat.) Each participating mother is put into the rotation and is a caregiver once a month. The more moms who participate the less you have to work and the more time you have off!  Mom’s Morning Out is coordinated with RefresHer Bible Studies at TRBC so mothers can participate in their weeks off if they'd like. We also staff paid child care helpers to ensure the safety and well being of the children, & all caregivers (whether paid workers or rotating mothers) are submitted to a criminal background check. This program is open to the community, not just church members, and we would love to have you and your children!

A Note from the Leadership Team regarding the decision to move away from the MOPS, International Organization:

"We created a MOPS group at TRBC because we wanted to get together with other moms like us to feel real again, get encouragement and advice, and simply re-group as a mom. But you’ll notice we are taking a different route this year with our group - we are moving away from the MOPS brand and materials and renaming our group

    More Than Moms

Why, you ask? Because we had some serious concerns about the direction MOPS, International was taking and leading us as moms in relation to what the bible says about foundational truths.

So, we are stepping away. In doing so, we want you to know that only the name has been changed, as far as our group goes. We still have great speakers lined up, plenty of time for discussion, and creative projects. But when you come to our group, you won't have to worry about what we believe or where we stand. We believe in the truths found in scripture and we stand on those for life and practice."

RefresHer Community Bible Study

Community Bible Study for women of all ages!

RefresHer is an area-wide Bible study for women of all ages and all church affiliations. We get together in the TRBC Fellowship Hall on Thursday mornings to enjoy a video-driven Bible study from authors such as Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, David Jeremiah, and Stephen and Alex Kendrick; small group discussions; worship; prayer; and, of course, light refreshments! If you are looking for a warm and welcoming place to learn more about Jesus, RefresHer is for you. And, moms, child care is available. Please join us!
