Child & Adolescent Counselor
Sarah Wolford is a licensed Mental Health counselor in the state of Florida and is also a doctoral candidate in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Florida State University. Since moving to Tallahassee in 2015, Sarah became a member of the TRBC family and has thoroughly enjoyed her time serving in the Women’s Ministry among other related opportunities. Sarah has a professional background providing counseling through various social service agencies, and previously served as an in-home family therapist while training in Boston, MA. Currently, Sarah teaches undergraduate courses at FSU, provides counseling services on campus as well as to the TRBC community. Sarah specializes in therapy services for children, adolescents and families, and is trained to provide treatment in the area of trauma and traumatic stress in family systems. Sarah also regularly teaches classes in ETCH-Ed on issues related to mental health and parenting.
Hobbies and Interests:
Sarah enjoys traveling to as many beautiful beaches as she can when not working on papers, projects, and teaching assignments. In addition, Sarah is a coffee fanatic, and has visited several coffee shops within a 50-mile radius of the Tallahassee area!
Facts People May Not Know About You:
Sarah is 6 feet tall and is actually considered short in her family. Sarah has two cousins (6’4” and 6’7”) as well as an uncle who is also 6’ 7”, and a grandmother who was 6’2”. Oddly, Sarah has never played a game of basketball a day in her life—but you never know, she might try it out in the future!
