Youth Welcome Week

Welcome Week is the perfect way to ring in the new school year while getting connected to our Pursue Student Youth Ministry. The week will feature exciting events each night catered to build unity between guests and existing group members. If you are brand new or would simply like to get connected on a deeper level, this week is for you! Come for just one night, or come out with us every single night. In any case, you won’t want to miss out on this incredible opportunity!

Wednesday, 15th – Kick Off Night. Come join us as we kick off “Welcome Week!” This will include a church wide picnic with messy games immediately after. Bring an appetite, guests, and clothes/shoes that can get messy! Meet at the church any time after 5pm and schedule a ride home for 8:30pm.

Thursday, 16th – Bowling Night. Come join us for a night of bowling. The church buses will load up at TRBC at 5:30 pm and head to Capital Lanes! Come with a full belly, or bring money to purchase snacks there. Please schedule to be picked up back at the church around 8:30 pm. The cost to bowl is $5.

Friday, 17th – Variety Night. Come join us for a night that will suit any newcomer’s taste. On this night students can choose between four different options: Firefly pottery, skating, an NFC football game, or board games. Please bring $10 if you are interested in pottery, $9 if you would like to skate, or $5 to attend the local football game. Board games at the church are free! Meet at the church at 6:30pm for the pottery, skating, football or board games. At 9 pm we will convene at TRBC for a group Bible study and worship event.

Any student is invited to stay in the youth building after these events for a TRBC sleepover. Anyone not spending the night needs to be picked up by 11 pm. Please bring money or any other items you’ll need to spend the night! There will be two activities the following day for those who choose to spend the night. (Please know that any student joining us for the sleepover will get sleep! It’s a sleepover, not a lock in!)

Saturday, 18th – Ichnetucknee Trip. Join us as we conclude Welcome Week! One group will leave TRBC at 4:30 am to guarantee their ability to float down the Ichnetucknee. They will spend the day floating down the river on tubes and swimming. If you are not spending the night but would like to go to the river, please be dropped off at TRBC at 4am. The second group will stay back at the church. They will sleep in, eat a big breakfast, and hangout around the building until noon. Those on the river will get back around 5pm.
