January 26-27 • Camp Kulaqua • High Springs, FL
Enjoy a weekend designed to help you discover the truth that you are Beautifully Rooted in Christ as you fellowship with other women. Arrive ready to hear from God, and be prepared to leave fulfilled, rested, and strengthened in your walk.
We are blessed to welcome Janey Pitts as our retreat speaker. Janey is a graduate of Samford University and Southwestern Theological Seminary with nearly 20 years of ministry experience. She has spoken at numerous events for women and youth, and has also served as a curriculum writer for Lifeway. She currently serves as the Student Pastor at New Work Fellowship in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, with her husband Cory, who serves as the Teaching Pastor. Above all, Janey is a passionate follower of Christ who loves to encourage others in their walk.
Our worship leader for the retreat will be Jennie Willoughby. Jennie grew up at TRBC but now lives in Nashville where she is pursuing a career as a singer-song writer. She is a self-proclaimed music nerd that grew up playing anything from classical piano to playing the flute in the Florida State marching band. Jennie is a gifted musician, vocalist, and worship leader, and we look forward to the times she will lead us together in worship during the retreat.
Away - but not too far away - from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, lies Camp Kulaqua in stillness and tranquility. Located in lush High Springs, just north of Gainesville, Camp Kulaqua is less than two hours from Tallahassee. The camp is blessed with natural beauty, wonderful meeting facilities, and a variety of activities.
Rooms are hotel-styled and comfortably sleep four guests, with two queen beds and two murphy-style bunks. Each room is complete with a micro fridge, couch, dining table, and spacious private bathroom. You may request your roommates on your reservation form, or we can help connect you to others looking for roommates.
The retreat will include times for worship, small group discussion, personal reflection/prayer, and plenty of fun! Click HERE for the retreat schedule. In addition to the activities we have planned for the weekend, Camp Kulaqua hosts a variety of activities onsite, including their very own private zoo and nature center! Plus, enjoy extra time either before or after the retreat visiting the lovely town of High Springs, which is home to a variety of quaint antique shops and restaurants.
Transportation is available on TRBC church buses for those that need it, or you may drive your own vehicle and stay and play longer in beautiful High Springs!
