Get to know Alex Jones

Alex began serving as the College and Young Adults Ministry Director in August 2023. As an undergraduate student he served 3 years on the leadership team at the FSU BCM, and during the 2022-2023 academic year he was the President of the ministry. Alex engages with college students and young adults with an emphasis on personal discipleship, community, and the study of God’s word. As students are developed, Alex facilitates opportunities for students to serve in each of the ministries at Thomasville Road Baptist Church. Alex has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University, and during his senior year he accepted his calling into full-time ministry. As of 2023, he has begun his Masters of Divinity at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Church Ministry. Alex sees today’s young adults as a mission field ripe for the harvest, yet the laborers are few. Within the plethora of colleges and universities in Tallahassee, there is an incredible opportunity to reach thousands of lost students with the Gospel. By reaching these students, there is an opportunity to develop the next generation of church leaders and followers of Christ.

Hobbies and Interests:
I grew up playing soccer, and I am a sport enthusiast. As a lifelong fan of Bobby Bowden, I can always be found at FSU sporting events. I also enjoy drawing, reading, and tv shows.
