Thomasville Road Baptist Church has a vibrant women’s ministry to serve members and visitors alike. We offer many programs to enrich your relationship with God, your family, and community.“When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.” -Proverbs 31:26 NLT
The goal of Active Women is to mobilize women into action, serving our community in the name of Jesus Christ. We do this primarily through monthly local mission projects but also through bigger church-wide service/mission events on occasion.
Typically we meet one Saturday or Sunday a month for a snack and brief devotional, then we go together to do planned local mission projects in the community. This may include things such as serving a meal at a homeless shelter or serving at other community service agencies around town, all while sharing the love of Jesus. The Active Women's Team also plans a few other church-wide missions related projects throughout the year.
For the month of August, we will be joining forces with the Girls in Action to collect items for Chelsea House, which is a local ministry for women experiencing homelessness. Look for collection boxes around the church with lists of items needed.
If you have questions about this ministry or you are interested in joining our leadership team, please contact Sondra Hall at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mark your calendars now for one of our most popular women’s events! Come experience faith, fellowship, fun, friends, great food, and even door prizes! We meet the first Tuesday evening of most months from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the TRBC Fellowship Hall, and the cost for dinner is only $8. It’s a vibrant event where women can recharge, connect, and form lasting, supportive friendships, while drawing near to Christ!
Ginger has been a member of TRBC for nearly 26 years and has participated in the music ministry, Builders for Christ, GAs and facilitated GriefShare classes.
She is a north Florida native. Ginger grew up in Chipley, attended Chipola Junior College and then moved to Pensacola to complete her bachelor’s degree in Finance at University of West Florida. She chose UWF because she planned to live in Pensacola long-term. Just prior to completing college she was hired by the Florida Department of Revenue to work in the Pensacola service center, but just one week before she was to begin her job there, the position was moved to Tallahassee. Ginger accepted the job but set her mind to move back to Pensacola as soon as she could find another job.
Just a few months after moving to Tallahassee, an old mutual friend mentioned that our long-forgotten friend, Nathan White, had moved to Sneads and was the band director at the high school. The mutual friend encouraged Nathan to give Ginger a call; they began dating and married in 1993. Nathan and Ginger are blessed with two children: Katie is 20 and attending FSU, Daniel is almost 15 and a freshman at Chiles High School.
That move back to Pensacola never happened, and she is eternally grateful.
In May Ginger will mark 30 years working for the Department of Revenue. She won’t be retiring anytime soon, though…..Daniel goes through some groceries!

Mom’s Morning Out is a community co-op program designed to give moms a morning a week without kiddos. The children participate in an age-appropriate Bible story, outside play, relevant craft time, and a peanut free snack lunch. (Please send a snack that your child can eat by themselves and we will sit them down to eat.) Each participating mother is put into the rotation and is a caregiver once a month. The more moms who participate, the less you have to work and the more time you have off! Mom’s Morning Out is coordinated with RefresHer Bible Studies at TRBC, so mothers can participate in their weeks off if they would like. We also have paid child care helpers to ensure the safety and well-being of the children, and all caregivers (whether paid workers or rotating mothers) are submitted to a criminal background check. This program is open to the community, not just church members, and we would love to have you and your children!

MORE than MOMS is a place where mothers of preschoolers can come together for mental refreshment, support from other moms, grow in the knowledge of motherhood through speakers and mentors, express their creativity through creative projects, take a much needed break from the demands of motherhood, and most of all, honor the name of Jesus in the things we say and do regarding how we raise our families and how we support one another as moms.

Are you looking for a group of women who are Relational, Encouraging, Authentic, and Loving (R.E.A.L.)? Are you ready to move beyond being acquaintances, a quick wave in the hallway, and the occasional chat before Bible study? Are you also ready to delve deeper into your friendship with Christ along the way? If so, this ministry may be just for you!
R.E.A.L. Women includes a six-week, in-home, small-group experience designed to facilitate deeper relationships among ladies from all stages, ages, and walks of life through weekly discussion, Bible study and prayer. Each group will include 8-10 women, with the goal of forming intergenerational connections and mentorship opportunities that extend well beyond our time together. Additionally, each small group will have a pair of hosts equipped to lead everyone in a rich reflection of our faith journey, friendships in the body, and ultimately, in our relationship with Christ.
We recently concluded a session of R.E.A.L. Women. However, we will begin a new round of small groups in the coming months. We will update this page once the next round of small groups has been scheduled. In the meantime, if you have any questions about R.E.A.L. Women or want to be personally notified of an upcoming session, contact Sarah Woldford at SarahWolford@thomasvilleroad.org
Community Bible Study for women of all ages!
RefresHer is a community-wide Bible study for women of all ages and all church affiliations. We get together in the TRBC Fellowship Hall on Thursday mornings to enjoy a video-driven Bible study from authors such as Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, David Jeremiah, and Stephen and Alex Kendrick; small group discussions; worship; prayer; and, of course, light refreshments! If you are looking for a warm and welcoming place to learn more about Jesus, RefresHer is for you. And, moms, child care is available. Please join us!
Is it possible to understand a power and a love that has no limits? This study uses selected passages from Isaiah to reveal the sovereignty, holiness, grace, and glory of God.
Pastor and author James MacDonald believes that the better we understand God, the better we understand ourselves, and the less likely we are to favor our own will over God’s. He writes: “God is not safe and He will not be squeezed into some neat, respectable Sunday discussion . . . To know God at all is to watch Him explode any box we put Him in with His terror, majesty, and indescribable wonder.”
Member book is $15. Child care is available for $25/family by pre-registration.
Please call the church at 386-4288 to register and help us secure the correct number of workbooks & child care workers.
We look forward to seeing you!
